About an Issue with the “The Current” Gimmick in the “Aqua Wonder” World
Thank you for always playing Faaast Penguin.
We have identified an issue with the “The Current” gimmick in the new “Aqua Wonder” World. When jumping while moving through “The Current” in an environment running above 60 FPS, the jump height may become higher than intended depending on the frame rate.
As a result, the routes that can be taken may differ depending on the player’s environment.
At 60 FPS or below, “The Current” behaves as intended by the development team. Therefore, players on Nintendo Switch (including Nintendo Switch 2), which supports up to 60 FPS in this title, as well as players on other platforms playing at 60 FPS or below, are experiencing the intended behavior.
We are currently working on a fix. However, implementing this fix requires a simultaneous update across all platforms, and we are currently planning to release the fix in mid-September.
Regarding official tournaments, we will provide further information through the tournament organizers at a later date.
For regular matchmaking, until the issue is fixed, differences in the behavior of “The Current” may occur depending on the player’s environment. We apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask for your understanding.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may cause our players.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you please wait a little longer until the issue is resolved.
What is FPS?
FPS is a value that indicates the number of images displayed on the screen per second.
For example, 60 FPS displays 60 images per second, while 144 FPS displays 144 images per second.
The higher the FPS, the smoother the motion on screen.
