New Season Rank System Implemented
Based on the results of Season 1, we have adjusted the number of Season Rank Points earned and thresholds for each rank.
Season Rank Points Earned
- Tour 1st Place (Gold Medal): 8pts → 16pts
- Tour 2nd Place (Silver Medal): 6pts → 12pts
- Tour 3rd Place (Bronze Medal): 4pts → 8pts
- Tour Completed – 4th Place and lower (Blue Badge): 1pt → 2pts
- Top Three in Activity: 1pt → 2pts (2 Red Badges)
- Activity Completed – 4th Place and lower: 0pt → 1pt (1 Red Badge)
Season Rank Thresholds
With the changes to the points earned, it is now approximately 2 to 4 times easier to earn points compared to Season 1. Accordingly, the thresholds for Season Ranks have also been adjusted as follows:
- Ordinary: 2 → 4
- Best in the Village: 10 → 20
- Pro: 30 → 60
- Top-Notch: 100 → 150
- Ace: 300 → 400
- Star: 800 → 800
- Master: 1400 → 1500
- Legend: 2000 → 2500
Reasons for the Change
Season Ranks and Season Rank Points are aimed at creating a system outlined below:
- Providing a meaningful goal for those who play consistently on a daily basis.
- Allowing players to set their own goals and enjoy the game at their own pace.
- Players aiming to improve have the opportunity to compete and enjoy testing their skills.
Given these goals and the luck-based game mechanics, this game incorporates an incremental point system. This system is designed to reflect a player’s skill while still allowing for casual and enjoyable gameplay.
However, with the points allocation system used in Season 1, if the players didn’t place in the top 3 of the tour, they could only earn a small amount of points. Additionally, the system was heavily influenced by the matching process, which made it difficult to achieve a balance for everyone’s goals.
Our changes this time make it so that while skill is still reflected, players can also accumulate points by completing various activities and reaching set goals within them.
