historia Inc. (hereinafter, “historia”) obtains personal information of customers, either directly or from affiliates and business partners, in the course of developing and operating games, operating media, and providing community operation assistance and support services.
historia sees it as the responsibility of the company to work on a daily basis in order to keep customers’ information safe and allow them to use services with peace of mind.
Therefore, historia has established this policy for the handling of personal information in accordance with the law, and is working to ensure it can properly handle and manage such information.

1.Acquisition of Personal Information

historia shall clearly display the “purpose of use,” “scope of joint users,” “contact desk,” and other such information each time it obtains personal information, and acquire information only with consent from customers.
historia shall not acquire information for other purposes, or acquire information under false pretenses. historia may retain the contents and records of transactions and inquiries either in text or audio format, for the purpose of improving service quality.

2.Use of Personal Information

historia shall use acquired personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the following purposes of use. historia shall not use personal information for applications other than those it has announced to customers.
For matters that do not correspond to those described below, historia shall only obtain personal information with consent from customers, according to the policy explained in Section 1 “Acquisition of Personal Information.”

a. Response to work requests and consultations, price estimate, and sending of materials
b. Sending information about various services provided, including games, community services, and seminars
c. Mailing products, sending presents and campaign prizes
d. Presentation of statistics results, with individuals made unidentifiable
e. Improvement of services and development of new services

3.Secure Management of Personal Information

historia shall set forth appropriate handling rules and measures in order to prevent leakage, damage, loss, or other harm to personal information, for the purpose of secure management of acquired personal information.
Furthermore, historia shall continuously conduct internal education about the established rules and measures, and check that they are being implemented appropriately.

4.Contracting of Personal Information

When historia contracts the handling of acquired personal information to an affiliate company or the like, historia shall conduct a rigorous investigation to check whether the contractor is safe, and shall supervise the contractor so as to ensure that contracted personal information is managed safely.
When supervising a contractor, historia shall set forth handling rules and measures just as when handling personal information internally, and both companies shall work with a mutual understanding of the contents thereof.

5.Providing Personal Information to Third Parties

historia shall not sell or provide personal information to third parties, except when it is necessary to do “contracting of personal information” (as in Section 4), or when there are provisions set forth in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or laws established by local governments.
historia shall respond only after checking facts when there is a police investigation, a court order, or other demands from public institutions.

6.Disclosure, Revision, Deletion, etc. of Personal Information

historia shall disclose information swiftly when an individual requests the disclosure of their own personal information.
Identity verification will be necessary in order to disclose personal information, so historia will not disclose the contents thereof if it cannot verify the identity of the individual concerned.
historia shall respond after verifying identity when the personal information it holds has a mistake in its contents, or when it receives a request for revision, addition, or deletion.
Identity verification is necessary just as when disclosing personal information, and thus historia will not respond if it cannot verify the identity of the individual concerned.

7.Cookies

historia uses cookies on this website and in its services.
