Update v1.0.5
Thank you for enjoying Faaast Penguin.
Here are the details of the changes implemented in the maintenance conducted on October 17, 2024.
Note: The Nintendo Switch version will be updated to 1.0.4 as of today. An update to 1.0.5 is planned for a later date.
Update: October 29, 2024
The Nintendo Switch version has been updated to v1.0.5.
Update v1.0.5d: 10/23/2024
- Fixed the occurrence of Error “120202” in private matches.
Update v1.0.5c: 10/22/2024
We have implemented temporary measures to address the issue where Errors “120201” and “120202” have been occurring in some environments following the 1.0.5 update.
- Fixed the occurrence of Error “120201”
- Fixed Error “120202” so it will not occur outside of the “Auto (Prioritize Connection Speed)” setting
These errors occur when the connection speed to regional servers fails during matchmaking. In certain environments, these errors were happening frequently, making it impossible to play. With this update, we have applied a temporary fix, allowing matchmaking to proceed even if the speed measurement fails.
Request for those encountering Error “120202” frequently:
If your server setting is “Auto (Prioritize Connection Speed),” Error “120202” will continue to occur due to the inability to match based on connection speed. We kindly ask you to change your server setting to “Auto (Prioritize Matchmaking)” or manually select a region.
Update v1.0.5b: 10/18/2024
- Adjusted matchmaking
“Auto (Prioritize Connection Speed)” has been added to the server selection (Ver 1.0.5)
The “Auto (Prioritize Connection Speed)” option has been added to the server settings. This option prioritizes matching based on connection speed by excluding slower servers, while considering the matchmaking rate and wait times. We recommend using this option for general play, but for more detailed control, you can select from other server options.
This brings the server settings to a total of six options: “Auto (Prioritize Connection Speed)”, “Auto (Prioritize Matchmaking)”, “Asia”, “West America”, “East America”, and “Europe”.
Additionally, the server selection screen has been moved to the home screen.
Note: This feature will be added to the Nintendo Switch version in a future update.
